TURKEY / EPHESUS
Departing daily at 08:30 from either Pythagorion or Samos Town, and you arrive in Kusadasi after a 1½ hour boat trip. Once you arrive there, you will board a coach to the archaeological site of Ephesus, where guided tours are available in German, English or French. Before returning to Samos, you will have around two hours at your disposal in which to explore the bustling town of Kusadasi, sampling its many Bazaars. Departure from Kusadasi is at approx. 17:00.
JEEP SAFARI
The tour takes you over some rough terrain, to the beautiful and remote villages of the island, passing through mountainous areas, with a chance to see some of the most spectacular views on the island. Stopping for lunch on a wonderful sandy beach on the southwest coast of the island. Then on to the cascading waterfalls in Karlovassi, the caves of Pythagoras and many other beautiful and interesting sites. This excursion is very popular and a must while on Samos.
GREEK EVENING
The Greek evening takes place in the village of Pagondas, with transport by air-conditioned coach. The entertainment is centered around the Village Square in a local Taverna. At 20:00 to 23:00 live Greek music and dancing is there for your enjoyment. The menu consists of a small Greek salad, souvlaki with potatoes/rice followed by fresh fruit. All extra food and drink will incur an additional charge.
ISLAND TOUR
This guided tour in air-conditioned coaches gives you the opportunity to savour some of the island’s beauty. The tour takes you to the archaeological site of Ireon or Efpalinio, to the 16th century Monastery of the Holy Cross and then on to the typical mountain village of Pirgos. Stopping for an optional lunch at Karlovassi, followed by a trip to the Valley of Nightingales, and finally a guided walk through the picturesque resort of Kokkari.
PATMOS
Patmos is situated 32 miles south of Samos. Departing from Pythagorion at 07:30 you reach this beautiful island after a 2-½ hour by boat trip. Where there is a guided tour of the islands famous monastery - that of St’ John the Theologos from the 10th century AD). Contained within the Monasteries library are some famous Scriptures. The remaining time on the Island is there for you to explore or relax. Departure from Patmos is at approx. 16:00.
CAPTAIN’S BBQ
After a lively boat journey from Pythagorion or Votsalakia, you reach the beach of Aspros Kavos where the captain and his mates will prepare a lunchtime BBQ, whilst you enjoy swimming in the clear blue waters of the Aegean or just relax and sunbathe. At about 16:00 weather permitting, the boat sets sail for the island of Samiopoula where you can take the opportunity to do some diving off the boat. Departure is at 17:00 for both Pythagorion and Votsalakia. Arriving at circa. 18:00.
