AGIOS KONSTANTINOS The beautiful coastal settlement of Agios Konstantinos offers a very long beach and preserves elements of traditional architecture. The village was named after a church, built in 1890. Agios Konstantinos consists of two neighborhoods the one is 'Pano Agios' which is on the mountain and the other is coastal. The neibouring ravine Aidonia (Nightingale) is particularly beautiful. At nightfall, one can listen to the song of the nightingales.
Agios Konstantinos along with Margarites, Valeontades, Manolates, Stavrinides and Ambelos were once the 'six-village neighborhood'. Now all this villages are separate communes, allthough Margarites and Valeontandes are almost abandoned.
During the antique times, there used to be a large village in that beautiful area between mountain and sea. There are still remains of ancient buildings to prove that. The area produces wine, honey, chestnuts and many more. The people living there are mostly farmers or fishermen.
Visiting 'Platanakia', you can find restaurants and hotels under the trees.
